How do I fix broken links?
- If the page moved, add a 301 redirect from the old address to the new one.
- Update your own links to point straight at the new address, so visitors skip the redirect.
- If the page is gone for good, remove the link or point it to the closest useful page.

Do broken links hurt SEO?
A few won't sink a site, but they waste visitors' time and crawl attention, and broken internal links can leave pages hard for Google to find. They're quick to fix.
Why does a link work for me but show as broken?
Some sites block automated checkers or need a login. If the link works in your browser, it's probably fine – check it by hand.
